Job Summary
We have an immediate need for a Sr. Military Operations Analyst to provide onsite support out of Alexandria, VA. The analyst will support multi-disciplinary analytic efforts for multiple DoW clients, contributing to decision‑making at the highest levels.
ResponsibilitiesClient‑centered, analyst role that involves:
- Participating in analyses, assessments, and workshops that integrate technical, operational, and programmatic aspects of DoW.
- Supporting cross‑functional, high‑performance teams with quantitative and qualitative analysis, including wargaming.
- Managing multiple tasks concurrently under constrained timelines.
- Learning rapidly and applying new knowledge and skills across diverse contexts.
- Providing leadership opportunities and direct engagement with external clients and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in military operations planning, execution, and assessment.
- Experience leading qualitative and quantitative analysis with understanding of U.S. and adversary CONOPS, TTPs, weapons systems capabilities, and technology investments.
- Expertise in one or more war fighting domains, mission, or functional areas.
- Demonstrated ability to develop concise, well‑written analytic products to inform decision‑making and present results.
- Active DoW Secret clearance.
- Must work fully onsite based on client needs.
- Bachelor’s in Mathematics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, or similar technical field.
- Master’s in a relevant field (e.g., Operations Research, National Security Studies, Engineering) or graduate of Service Command and Staff College.
- Experience in:
- Conducting and leading ORA or wargames at campaign, mission, or engagement level for DoW clients.
- Applying intelligence data on near‑peer adversary capabilities to support operational planning, analysis, or training.
- Assessing operational impact of planned or conceptual weapon systems.
- Working on headquarters staff within OSW, Joint Staff, or the Services.
- Participating in DoW Requirements, Acquisition, or Science & Technology Development processes.
- Developing war fighting scenarios for analysis.
- Supporting DoW wargames, tabletop exercises, or workshops.
