Locals Only Urgent Need SR JAVA Developer

Contractual position for a Senior-Level Java Developer.

• Duration: 6-12 months
• Should be able to pass a Federal Background Check and be in the US for at least 2 years
• Must obtain a Federal Government clearance at the Public Trust level

The Senior-Level Java Developer shall provide design and development of SOAP and RESTful services to perform systems integration.

Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and unit test code
• Document code and system design
• Fix bugs in development of various applications
• Propose opportunities for improvement in existing software stack or design
• Own tasks/User Stories in Sprint sessions, prepare design documents, develop code, prepare unit test cases, suggest alternatives when applicable, and participate in technical discussions
• Mentor, participate in code reviews, collaborate with other team members and contractor teams

Hands-on experience with:

• Java, JSP, XML, HTML, PL/SQL
• Frameworks:
  Spring, Java EE (Java 5+), SOA (Rest Easy), UML, MVC
• Methodologies:
  Agile, Waterfall
• Application Server: JBoss application and Web server
• Build Management/CI:
  Maven, Hudson/Jenkins
• Data formats: XML, XSD, XSLT, HTML
• Operating systems:
  Solaris, Windows, Linux (HP/UX, IBM/AIX, Red Hat/Linux, Microsoft)
• Tools:
  Rational Unified Process (RUP), Rational CM, CICM, Jenkins

Must have experience working with stakeholders at various levels and in a professional services/consulting/federal contracting environment, producing high-quality deliverables; mentoring; resolving defects; documenting; code reviews; collaborating with contractor teams.
