Machine Learning/ ML Engineer, AI Engineer (Applied/Software)
Overview
As an experienced AI and ML engineer, you understand the importance of machine learning for interpreting and processing large datasets. Your expertise in statistical analysis of business processes will enable you to build customer‑focused solutions. You will help advance initiatives across the DoD market by training, testing, deploying, and maintaining models that learn from data.
Responsibilities• Own and define the direction of mission‑critical solutions by implementing AI that accelerates mission success.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, solutions architects, and product owners to deliver world‑class AI use cases.
• Guide clients through ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks.
- 2+ years of experience with artificial intelligence, data science, or machine learning engineering, including developing and deploying models
- Proficiency in Python and related libraries such as scikit‑learn, Tensor Flow, or Py Torch
- Experience coding in a primary language such as Python, C++, Rust, or Java
- Hands‑on experience with deep learning, computer vision, or generative AI
- Experience with data handling and model development
- Knowledge of AI productivity tools for coding (e.g., Cursor)
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to address client issues
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
- Experience with generative and agentic AI technologies such as LLMs, MCP, Lang Chain, or Lang Graph
- Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning methods
Applicants selected will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A Secret clearance is required.
Compensation and BenefitsSalary range: $77,600 to $176,000 (annualized USD). Additional benefits include health, life, disability, financial, and retirement plans, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work‑life programs, and dependent care options. Eligible full‑time and part‑time employees working at least 20 hours a week participate in the benefits program.
