The Senior .NET Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, modernizing, and supporting enterprise web applications and services throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). This hands‑on technical role supports both Operations & Maintenance (O&M) of legacy applications and the development of new enterprise solutions utilizing .NET Framework, modern .NET, C#, Angular, SQL Server, Microsoft Power Platform integrations, APIs, microservices, Azure Application Service Environments (ASE), and Windows Virtual Machines.
The successful candidate will develop secure, scalable, and maintainable software solutions while contributing to application architecture, system integration, performance optimization, and technical design. This role is responsible for developing interfaces between web services, SQL Server, Microsoft Power Platform, microservices, and other enterprise infrastructure components in a secure, enterprise environment.
The Senior .NET Software Engineer will serve as a technical leader by promoting software engineering best practices, participating in technical design and code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating with Scrum teams, architects, testers, and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality enterprise applications supporting mission‑critical federal systems.

- This position requires working onsite in Alexandria, VA, 5 days per week
Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Related Field
- At minimum 10 years’ related work experience
- Self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile team environment.
- Advanced expertise developing applications using both .NET Framework and modern .NET.
- Strong proficiency with C#, ASP.NET, enterprise application development, and modern application architecture.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs, web services, and enterprise integrations.
- Experience integrating applications with Microsoft Power Platform and other enterprise platforms.
- Strong experience with JavaScript frameworks, including Angular.
- Experience developing applications utilizing SQL Server, including writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database optimization.
- Experience supporting microservices‑based architecture and distributed enterprise applications.
- Experience supporting applications hosted in Azure Application Service Environments (ASE), Windows Virtual Machines, and Windows/IIS environments.
- Experience utilizing Dev Sec Ops practices and CI/CD pipelines to build, merge, deploy, test, and maintain software solutions.
- Experience writing and maintaining unit tests, integration tests, and automated testing solutions.
- Experience creating and maintaining technical design documentation and development artifacts.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience participating in Agile/Scrum software development environments.
- Experience mentoring developers and participating in technical design and code reviews is preferred
- Design, develop, enhance, modernize, and maintain enterprise web applications using .NET Framework, modern .NET, C#, Angular, SQL Server, and related Microsoft technologies.
