Female PA Brothers Accessing Community, Engaging Playtime DE

Job Description

We are looking for a female PA to help support two brothers with BFL Syndrome (Borjeson-Forssman-Lehmann syndrome). The role will include engaging with their hobbies and getting into the community.

12 hours per week, 6 hours per child a week. The hours will be used on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday.

• Highly rewarding role supporting two young brothers; work alongside another Personal Assistant and alternate support between both children.
• Accessing the community and engaging in the children’s chosen activities, such as trampolining, swimming, visiting the shops, and playing within the home.
• Personal Assistant is permitted to smoke during working hours, but must do so outside and never in the presence of the individuals requiring support.

• Previous experience working with young people with learning disabilities.
• Previous experience/knowledge using Makaton.

Transport will be required and there is one puppy in the home.

• £13 per hour for an employed PA.
• £15.60 per hour for a self-employed PA.
