Divergent Alliance is seeking a Safety Professional to support field operations from our Algonquin, Illinois office.

This role supports safety across electrical distribution, substation and storm restoration work, with regular travel to active jobsites and project locations.

Pay Range: $95,000 - $125,000

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver and coordinate safety training programs for field and supervisory personnel
  • Conduct jobsite audits and inspections and support field supervision on hazard identification and control
  • Lead incident investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action tracking
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, client and utility-specific safety requirements
  • Manage contractor prequalification platforms and safety documentation
  • Track and report safety metrics and leading indicators
  • Support job hazard analysis and pre-task planning processes
  • Maintain training records, certifications and safety documentation
  • Provide field safety presence during projects and emergency response events
  • Authority to stop work when conditions warrant
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Five or more years of construction or utility safety experience
  • Electric utility, line construction or energized work experience strongly preferred
  • OSHA 500 or 510 certification; CHST, ASP or CSP preferred
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA  and applicable construction standards
  • Excellent communication skills and credibility with field crews
  • Willingness to travel to jobsites and emergency response events
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or related field preferred
