Job Summary

We are seeking a part‑time, board‑certified Psychiatrist to join our collaborative outpatient team, serving patients across the lifespan, including adolescents. This role offers the opportunity to practice high‑quality, relationship‑driven care supported by dedicated clinical and administrative staff, allowing you to focus on what matters most – your patients. The position is up to 20 hours per week and does not provide benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including psychiatric history, medical history, mental status examination, and risk assessment across the lifespan.
  • Establish DSM‑5‑TR diagnoses and develop individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans.
  • Provide medication management utilizing current psychopharmacologic guidelines and best practices.
  • Utilize measurement‑based care (e.g., validated rating scales) to monitor symptoms, treatment response, and functional outcomes over time.
  • Engage in shared decision‑making with patients and guardians when applicable.
  • Collaborate with therapists, psychologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and clinical staff to support coordinated care.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary case consultations and treatment planning.
  • Provide clinical consultation and supervision to advanced practice providers when serving as a collaborating/supervising physician.
  • Coordinate care with primary care providers and other involved professionals as clinically indicated.
  • Provide brief psychotherapy interventions when appropriate or coordinate referrals to therapy services.
  • Deliver care via in‑person and/or telepsychiatry in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.
  • Provide crisis assessment and intervention as needed in the outpatient setting.
  • Educate patients and families/guardians regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and medications.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement and clinical review activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required.
  • Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program required.
  • Board certification in Psychiatry required.
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in applicable state(s) required.
  • Outpatient psychiatry experience preferred.
  • Experience treating children and adolescents preferred.
  • Experience in collaborative or integrated care settings preferred.
  • Experience supervising or collaborating with advanced practice providers preferred.
  • Familiarity with telepsychiatry preferred.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Strong diagnostic and psychopharmacology skills across the lifespan.
  • Knowledge of evidence‑based psychiatric treatments.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication skills with patients, families, and clinical teams.
  • Proficiency in EHR systems.
  • Effective time management in a part‑time outpatient setting.
  • Commitment to culturally responsive care.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at an office desk on the computer.
  • Lifting:
    Able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.
Pay Range

$163.46 USD – $187.50 USD
