Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) – School (BCBA – School).

D. Pay rate: $2182.00–$2248.00.
School-based BCBA opportunity across Algonquin, Carpentersville, and Hampshire – three welcoming northwest suburban Chicago communities. These areas are known for family‑friendly neighborhoods, growing retail and dining options, and easy access to scenic recreation and the broader Chicagoland area. Algonquin offers a vibrant mix of suburban convenience and natural beauty;
Carpentersville is a diverse, close‑knit community with park systems and family‑oriented amenities;
Hampshire provides a quieter, small‑town feel with natural spaces and convenient access to major roadways.
The role supports students across multiple campuses in each town on a Monday‑Friday schedule with an anticipated 37.5 hours per week. It follows a traditional school‑day schedule, and compensation is based on hours worked. Pay does not include school holidays or closings.
Typical responsibilities include conducting functional behavioral assessments, analyzing data, and developing evidence‑based Behavior Intervention Plans tailored to individual student needs; collaborating with teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to ensure consistent implementation across school environments; providing in‑class and consultative support; modeling behavioral strategies; offering ongoing coaching to teachers and paraprofessionals; observing students in various settings; adjusting interventions based on data;
contributing to IEP development and progress reporting; participating in team meetings to review student growth and refine supports; and promoting a positive, proactive behavioral culture within the schools, including support for PBIS and other tiered supports.
As an integral member of a collaborative school‑based team, you will:
- Conduct functional behavioral assessments and behavior intervention planning;
- Analyze data and adjust interventions based on evidence;
- Collaborate closely with teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families;
- Provide in‑class support, model strategies, and coach staff;
- Observe students, contribute to IEPs, and report progress;
- Participate in team meetings reviewing student growth and refining supports;
- Promote a positive, proactive behavioral culture, including PBIS and other tiered supports.
- Current certification as BCBA issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board;
- Active BCBA certification in Illinois;
- At least 1,500 hours of supervised field work;
- Clear, articulate communication skills and ability to explain results to a varied audience;
- Completion of a criminal record and background check.
- Previous school experience is a plus.
