School Services School Special Education Teacher (Travel Assignment)
Allied Support for Kids (A.S.K) is seeking a qualified School Services School Special Education Teacher to serve as a Deaf & Hard-of-Hearing classroom teacher for a travel assignment in Algonquin, Illinois.
Location & Assignment DetailsAlgonquin, IL – School District setting for a 36‑week travel assignment beginning 08/11/2026.
- Start Date:
08/11/2026 - Duration: 36 weeks
- Hours:
37 hours per week (8‑hour days) - Shift: 8 hours, days

- Provide direct, specialized instruction and interventions to students who are deaf and hard of hearing in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and specialists to develop and implement strategies that support academic and social progress of students with hearing impairments.
- Maintain accurate, timely records of all services, assessments, and interventions to ensure compliance with IEP goals and state regulations.
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering expertise in deaf/hard‑of‑hearing accommodations, assistive technology, and instructional modifications.
- Professional Educator’s License (PEL) with endorsement for teaching students with hearing impairments.
- Proficiency with school‑based technology.
- Fluent signer of American Sign Language (ASL).
- Experience working with deaf and hard‑of‑hearing students and familiarity with IEP requirements.
