Special Education Teacher (LBS1)
Responsible for delivering individualized instruction to students with special needs in Algonquin, Illinois. Works a 39-week contract, earning up to $58 per hour based on experience. Supports student progress while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver personalized instruction to students with diverse learning needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with specialists.
- Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet students' unique requirements.
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to ensure measurable growth.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to facilitate inclusive classroom settings.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and instructional activities.
- Conduct behavior interventions and support classroom management strategies.
- Attend professional development sessions to stay current with special education best practices.
- Support students' social, emotional, and academic development through mentorship.
- Standard educational degrees or equivalents
- Standard certifications for special education teachers, LBS1 certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in special education and relevant skill set
- Must meet facility requirements, pass background checks, and meet physical demands typical for school settings
- Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills
