Position: Middle School Elementary Occupational Therapist School Setting in Algonquin, IL

Make an impact supporting students’ success as an Occupational Therapist for a school-based contract position near Algonquin, IL. This full-time role offers meaningful opportunities to collaborate with fellow professionals and advance your skills while covering FMLA for the Fall 2026 semester.

In this position, you’ll provide OT services to elementary and middle school students in both resource and self-contained settings. Orientation begins August 3 and 4, with students starting August 7; the assignment runs through October 15, 2026. Work onsite for 37.5 hours per week in a supportive environment designed to help you thrive and make a positive difference for your students.

Experience and Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (OT)
  • Valid OT licensure to practice in Illinois
  • Experience in school-based or pediatric OT highly preferred
  • Ability to serve both elementary and middle school populations
  • Effective communication and documentation skills
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct evaluations to determine students’ OT needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for a variety of school settings
  • Collaborate regularly with teachers, staff, and families
  • Maintain accurate progress notes and records
  • Engage in process improvement activities and professional development
  • Participate in monthly meetings, performance reviews, and regional roundtable discussions
