About the Position

Allied Travel Careers  is working with AMN Healthcare Allied to find a qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Algonquin, IL 60102.

Job Description & Responsibilities

AMN Healthcare is partnering with a top school district in Carpentersville, Algonquin, and Gilberts, IL to hire a School Psychologist to work in the area, providing services to children of all ages. The role includes providing counseling services to students on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and to the regular student population, treating mood disorders, autism, anxiety, depression, ADHD, social skill deficits, conduct disorders to foster positive coping strategies, motivation, and skill development.

Responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students’ needs and strengths, developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans, providing individual and group counseling to students, collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators, providing crisis intervention and support for students and staff, and coordinating outreach activities with pediatricians, outside counseling agencies, and other agencies.

Required Qualifications
  • Master’s or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology.
  • State certification and/or licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience working in a school setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of child development, learning theories, and behavioral interventions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members.
  • Proficiency in assessment tools and techniques used in school and educational settings.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations.
