Position Details:- Start Date: August 2026 (2026–2027 school year)
- Schedule: Part-time (18-20 hours/week)
- Grade Levels: K–12th
- Credentials: IL PT License required
- Compensation: Starting at $47/hour (commensurate with experience)

- Licensed Physical Therapist (eligible state licensure or licensed in the state in which you live)
- Passion for working with students in educational settings
- School-based experience required
- Doctorate or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Experience providing physical therapy services in a pediatric or school setting
- Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques commonly used in pediatric physical therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail
- Knowledge of adaptive equipment and assistive technology used in physical therapy (preferred)
- Conduct thorough evaluations of students’ mobility, strength, balance, and coordination.
- Develop personalized treatment plans and goals tailored to students’ specific needs and abilities.
- Implement evidence‑based physical therapy interventions to improve students’ motor skills, range of motion, and functional independence.
- Provide direct one‑on‑one therapy sessions as well as group therapy sessions as appropriate.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to integrate therapy goals into students’ educational plans.
- Monitor students’ progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Document therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and provide input regarding students’ physical therapy needs.

Physical Requirements (Working in a School Setting)While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and move around in various areas of the school facility. The employee must be able to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents both verbally and in writing. The employee may need to lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds and may occasionally be required to bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
