• Examine and treat companion animals, diagnosing disease or injuries.
• Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples, and interpret results.
• Advise pet owners on preventive care, treatment options, and end‑of‑life counseling.
• Perform surgeries and prescribe medications as necessary.
• Maintain accurate, comprehensive medical records.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, state regulations, and clinic policies.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent (VMD) from an accredited AVMA institution.
• Appropriate state veterinary licensure.
• Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD credentials.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients.
• Physical ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; assistance required for heavier loads.
