Work Hours12 Months / Full-Time. Routinely: 5:30 am 2:00 pm Mon‑Fri. Subject to change based on needs of the District.
Range of Pay$33.65 - $34.13. Based upon experience and qualifications.

Summary of DutiesMaintain and repair all components of the buildings and grounds. Work with Administration and Contractors as it relates to maintenance/electrical and other areas. Ability to respond to emergency repair required for facilities and snow removal tasks at any hour of the day or night as the need arises. Participate in the weekend on‑call rotation. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Requirements- Associate's degree or equivalent; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid IL Driver's License required.
- Lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds.
- Must have knowledge/training on safety rules, electrical and/or plumbing codes, and working knowledge of how these systems work.
- Building automation system operation and maintenance experience preferred.
- Boiler Operator's Training Certification, HVAC Education Certificate, extensive experience with maintenance of HVAC and commercial electrical systems is preferred.
While performing the duties of this job, there is a requirement for frequent walking; use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling and talking or hearing. There is also an occasional requirement to stand; sit and taste or smell; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WorkingConditions
Environmental conditions can include wet and/or humid conditions; exposure to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration. There is occasional exposure to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
