Position: School Social Worker, $50/hr, '26-'27

This 39‑week contract school social worker position in Algonquin, Illinois offers a competitive hourly rate up to $50 based on experience. The role supports students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs while collaborating with school staff and families.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide school-based social work services to support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs.

Conduct assessments and support case management for students and families as appropriate to school social work standards.

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, counselors, and community resources to promote student success.

Deliver individual and/or group counseling interventions aligned with student needs and district processes.

Maintain accurate documentation and participate in relevant meetings per district requirements.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program or equivalent degree required for school social work licensure/placement.
Illinois school social worker certification/licensure or eligibility to obtain.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience working with children/adolescents in a school or related setting.
Experience supporting students and families with social/emotional and behavioral needs.
Ability to collaborate with school staff and families.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Professionalism and confidentiality with student information.
Ability to work effectively in a school environment and support student success.

Availability for a 37.5‑hour per week schedule.
