A rapidly growing healthcare services organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys owning month-end close activities, financial reporting, and process improvement while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in U.S. GAAP
, experience preparing financial statements and account reconciliations, and the ability to analyze financial data to support business decisions. This is a contract (3-6 months), hybrid position that can start very quickly.
W2 applicants only. No C2C or third-party submissions.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries
- Perform bank and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Prepare financial statements and management reporting packages
- Analyze revenue, expense, and balance sheet activity
- Conduct variance and flux analyses
- Assist with external audits and regulatory reporting requirements
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Maintain accurate financial records and support ad hoc accounting projects
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA or actively pursuing CPA preferred
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Experience preparing financial statements and account reconciliations
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large, complex spreadsheets
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Stable and growing organization within the healthcare industry
