Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Pattern & Sewing Room Manager / Sen. Pattern Maker to oversee our in-house sample room operations, support the product development and domestic production process. This role requires hands‑on technical expertise, exceptional organizational ability, and a collaborative approach to manage a small but highly skilled team of 10 people.
The ideal candidate has exceptional knowledge of garment construction for men & women, fit, pattern development and thrives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
Only candidates with demonstrated expertise in men`s pattern making will be considered.
This is a full‑time, on‑site position.
Key Responsibilities Sewing Room Management- Oversee and manage all daily operations and workflow of the in‑house sample sewing room.
- Supervise and mentor a team of 5 sample sewers, 2 sample cutters, 2 pattern makers and 1 marking and grading technician.
- Ensure all development and production samples are produced on time and meet company standards for quality, fit and workmanship.
- Maintain sample room equipment, supplies, fabric inventory, workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate with design, technical design, and production teams to ensure seamless communication between departments.
- Develop and modify patterns from designer sketches and tech packs using Gerber
- Create production‑ready patterns for men`s and women`s with strong emphasis on menswear
- Conduct fittings and make pattern corrections based on design and fit comments.
- Ensure consistency in grading, pattern standards and fit across all product categories.
- Support the transition from development to production, including preparing spec sheets, pattern cards, mini markers and pattern digitization as needed.
- 7+ years of experience in women’s and men`s apparel pattern making and with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Advanced Gerber expertise including pattern making, digitizing, marking and grading.
- Strong technical knowledge of contemporary garment engineering and construction, fit evaluation, and production requirements.
- Proven leadership experience to manage sample room and pattern maker workflow, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high quality standards.
- Collaborative, hands‑on, and solutions‑oriented approach.
