EDUCATION:
The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) requires schools to be in compliance when hiring paraprofessionals for classroom instruction. The following requirements are:
- Graduation from High School or evidence of equivalent educational proficiency, and
- Completion of two years of higher education (48 semester units) or
- Associate's degree (or higher) or
- Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting instruction.
Applications must be submitted with a copy of High School Diploma or G.E.D. AND college transcripts to be considered for this position. California Drives License required. TRANSCRIPT VERIFICATION:
Transcripts and degrees earned outside of the United States must be accompanied by a full evaluation report from a regionally accredited foreign credential evaluation agency.
