San Gabriel Valley e-commerce company seeks a Buyer to join our Purchasing Dept. .
Position Overview
The Buyer is responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels by purchasing materials and products in a timely and cost-effective manner. This role works closely with vendors, Accounts Payable, and internal departments to ensure accurate purchasing, timely deliveries, and efficient day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while building strong vendor relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Review inventory levels and purchasing requirements to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Generate, process, and distribute purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, product availability, lead times, order status, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor and follow through on purchase orders to ensure products are delivered on time and resolve any discrepancies or delays.
- Coordinate with the Accounts Payable department to ensure purchase orders, receipts, and invoices are matched and processed accurately.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse, sales, operations, and other departments to support daily business needs.
- Assist the Purchasing team with administrative and operational tasks as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a buyer
- Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
- Experience with product lifecycle management and data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, inventory management tools, and analytics software.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of global sourcing and import/export processes.
- Familiarity with agile product development methodologies.
- Excel or BI tool skills.
- Airsoft knowledge preferred but not required.

- Competitive hourly rate - $25 per hour and up, depending on experience.
