ARDEX Americas is seeking a practical, mechanically inclined MECHANICAL ENGINEER (MANUFACTURING) to support our flagship manufacturing facility and corporate headquarters located at 400 ARDEX Park Drive, Center Township (Aliquippa), PA 15001.

In this hands‑on role, you will work directly with production and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability, optimize manufacturing processes, lead capital improvement projects, and help drive operational excellence. This is an outstanding opportunity for an engineer who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, implementing meaningful improvements, and seeing the results of their work firsthand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for daily plant operations, equipment reliability, and production processes.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing process—from raw material receipt through packaging of finished goods.
  • Lead and execute small‑to‑mid‑size capital and process improvement projects.
  • Support larger‑scale engineering projects.
  • Manage the plant's computerized maintenance management system.
  • Assist with environmental compliance, regulatory reporting, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Monitor plant waste streams and contribute to continuous improvement efforts aimed at waste reduction and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
  • 3 years plus experience in a hands‑on engineering or technical role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; experience working with industrial equipment.
  • Proven troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis skills.
  • Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a collaborative working style.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline is required. Equivalent hands‑on experience will also be considered.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds occasionally.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa currently.
  • Must reside in commutable distance to plant location.
