Pediatric Specialty Care at Hopewell – Aliquippa, PA provides specialized long‑term care for medically fragile and technology‑dependent children in a warm, family‑centered setting. $18.00 – $26.00 per hour

As a Nurse Technician at PSC Hopewell, you will play an important role on a highly collaborative pediatric care team. Working alongside nurses, therapists, and physicians, you will help provide hands‑on care and meaningful daily support to our residents.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting nurses with daily care for pediatric residents
• Supporting activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, positioning, and mobility
• Helping create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children
• Building positive relationships with residents and families
• Working closely with nurses, respiratory therapists, and therapy teams to support individualized care plans

• Assist pediatric residents with ADLs such as bathing, toileting, dressing, repositioning, lifting, and mobility support
• Support safe movement of residents between beds, chairs, wheelchairs, and lifts
• Routinely check on residents to ensure comfort, safety, and personal care needs are met
• Assist with feeding and meal preparation in accordance with each resident’s care plan

• Obtain vital signs and assist with clinical tasks following training and competency validation
• Perform supportive clinical duties such as range‑of‑motion exercises and ostomy care assistance
• Monitor residents and report any changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
• Document care and services provided in the medical record in accordance with facility procedures

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents
• Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning toys, equipment, and spills
• Assist with transporting residents within the center and to appointments when needed

• Help create a warm, supportive, and engaging environment for children and families
• Provide activities and interaction that support physical, emotional, and psychosocial well‑being
• Maintain confidentiality and respect for each resident’s privacy and personal belongings
• Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, and other team members to support individualized care plans

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Possesses and maintains current, valid CPR/First Aid certification
• Current, valid driver license
• Proficiency with computer programs and applications preferred
• Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant Certification preferred
• Must possess intermediate or advanced English language proficiency for reading, writing, speaking, and understanding
