Pediatric Specialty Care at Hopewell – Aliquippa, PA provides specialized long‑term care for medically fragile and technology‑dependent children in a warm, family‑centered setting. $18.00 – $26.00 per hour
The Nurse Technician RoleAs a Nurse Technician at PSC Hopewell, you will play an important role on a highly collaborative pediatric care team. Working alongside nurses, therapists, and physicians, you will help provide hands‑on care and meaningful daily support to our residents.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting nurses with daily care for pediatric residents
- Supporting activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, positioning, and mobility
- Helping create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children
- Building positive relationships with residents and families
- Working closely with nurses, respiratory therapists, and therapy teams to support individualized care plans

Responsibilities Pediatric Resident Care- Assist pediatric residents with ADLs such as bathing, toileting, dressing, repositioning, lifting, and mobility support
- Support safe movement of residents between beds, chairs, wheelchairs, and lifts
- Routinely check on residents to ensure comfort, safety, and personal care needs are met
- Assist with feeding and meal preparation in accordance with each resident’s care plan
- Obtain vital signs and assist with clinical tasks following training and competency validation
- Perform supportive clinical duties such as range‑of‑motion exercises and ostomy care assistance
- Monitor residents and report any changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
- Document care and services provided in the medical record in accordance with facility procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning toys, equipment, and spills
- Assist with transporting residents within the center and to appointments when needed
- Help create a warm, supportive, and engaging environment for children and families
- Provide activities and interaction that support physical, emotional, and psychosocial well‑being
- Maintain confidentiality and respect for each resident’s privacy and personal belongings
- Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, and other team members to support individualized care plans
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Possesses and maintains current, valid CPR/First Aid certification
- Current, valid driver license
- Proficiency with computer programs and applications preferred
- Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant Certification preferred
- Must possess intermediate or advanced English language proficiency for reading, writing, speaking, and understanding

- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- CNA certification preferred but not required
- Prior healthcare or caregiving experience a plus
