Quality Control Supervisor, Center Township, PA

We are immediately hiring a hands-on Quality Control Supervisor to support our largest manufacturing facility at our Corporate Headquarters: 400 ARDEX Park Drive, Aliquippa (Center Township), PA 15001.

In this role, you will oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, ensuring that raw materials and finished products meet established quality standards and specifications. You will lead a team of QC Technicians, ensuring testing is completed accurately, consistently, and on schedule.

This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys structured, process-driven work, takes pride in accuracy, and is comfortable managing routine testing and team coordination in a lab environment.

This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.

- 5:00 p.m. onsite at our Corporate Headquarters, featuring scenic woodland trails and free parking.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily laboratory testing of raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Supervise and schedule QC Technicians to support consistent testing workflows
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of test data and QC records
  • Ensure all lab activities follow established quality procedures and SOPs
  • Manage nonconforming product processes, including timely review and release of quarantined material
  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe laboratory environments
  • Oversee calibration, maintenance, and inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies
  • Coordinate and verify retesting activities
  • Ensure QC documentation is complete, accurate, and properly archived
  • Support audit preparation and documentation reviews as needed
  • Collaborate with Quality, Production, Warehouse, R&D, and Technical teams to support daily operations
  • Lead team meetings and provide ongoing support to production
Experience and Skills
What you will bring to ARDEX
  • Previous experience in quality control, laboratory, or manufacturing environment
  • Prior supervisory or team lead experience
  • Exposure to Lean / Six Sigma concepts is preferred
  • Familiarity with building materials or related products is preferred
  • Experience with grout color matching and testing is highly advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and consistency
  • Comfortable working in a structured, repetitive testing environment
  • Solid understanding of quality processes, product testing, and lab practices
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple daily tasks
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Team-oriented with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or minimum completed high school diploma with applicable work experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to other ARDEX QC locations in the United States
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
