Maintenance Technician

Schedule:

7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on a rotating 2/2/3 schedule.

Major

Purpose:

Ensure all equipment in the facility is well-maintained, safe, and operating efficiently daily. This role requires proficiency in Preventive Maintenance tasks and skills in Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Mechanical systems. Must be able to safely operate forklifts while following Versatex's Best Practices and SOPs.

Qualification Requirements:
To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  Skills:
  
  Basic arithmetic proficiency.
• Communication
  
  Skills:
  
  Clear written and verbal communication.
• Attendance:
  Excellent attendance record during probation.
• Training:
  Completion of the Maintenance Training Program.
• Forklift Certification:
  Must pass the Versatex Forklift Training Program.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Computer proficiency for logging and ordering parts.
• Safety Knowledge:
  Familiarity with lockout/tagout protocols.
• Experience:
  • 2-year degree in electrical maintenance or 5 years in industrial maintenance.
  • Strong skills in electrical, mechanical, plant, and machine maintenance.
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Mandatory 480V electrical experience.
• Equipment Proficiency:
  Familiarity with forklifts, man lifts, and scissor lifts (in-house training provided).
• Flexibility:
  Willing to work flexible shifts and overtime.
• Industry Background:
  Experience in manufacturing and industrial maintenance is ideal.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

• Long periods of standing and walking on cement.
• Regular lifting/moving of up to 25 pounds; frequent lifting/moving of up to 50 pounds.
• Use of personal protective equipment as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Regular and punctual attendance.
• Report issues to A+ Maintenance.
• Read and interpret safety rules and SOPs.
• Perform basic Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks.
• Report machine/equipment issues.
• Follow OSHA and Versatex safety guidelines.
• Maintain "5S" standards.
• Care for tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with the team to develop skills.

Quality Responsibilities:

• Report and address machine issues to prevent unsafe operations.

Cost Control Responsibilities:

• Suggest cost-saving measures.

Reporting Relationship:

• Reports to the Sr. Maintenance Supervisor.
