One of our clients in the healthcare industry is searching for their next Senior SOX Accountant. You will report directly to the SOX director. This role will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and compliance of our financial reporting processes and procedures in alignment with SOX and SEC requirements. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.

Expected starting base salary $100,000 to $115,000 per year.

Job Description:

Conduct SOX testing for critical processes and controls.
Identify opportunities for optimizing financial and operational processes, systems, and controls.
Participate in planning and executing internal audit initiatives.
Activities include risk assessment, scoping, testing, and reporting.
Work closely with internal and external auditors and the corporate finance team.
Assist in monitoring the company's SOX program alongside external consultants.

Requirements:

Solid understanding of US GAAP and SEC/PCAOB regulations.
Capable of managing complex projects with multiple priorities efficiently.
Demonstrated expertise in utilizing Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
Excellent interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders across all organizational levels.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Experience:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience in public companies or public accounting.
4+ years with progressively increasing responsibilities in financial reporting, internal auditing, and/or SOX compliance.
3+ years of audit or financial reporting experience.
