Job Title:
Dev Ops Engineer

Duration: 09 Months Contract + High Possibility of Extension

Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday - Friday)

Job Description:

• Analyses, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs.
• Code may be used in commercial or end-user applications, such as materials management, financial management, HRIS, mobile apps or desktop applications products.
• Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications.
• Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

Knowledge:

• Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
• Some barriers to entry exist at this level (e.g., dept/peer review).
• Level at which career may plateau.

Complexity:

• Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
• Supervision:
• Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead).

Experience:

• Typically requires 7+ years of related experience.

Required Skills:

• Expertise in Ubuntu systems administration, RKE2 (Rancher Kubernetes Engine), and Docker.
• Experience with Ansible for automation and provisioning, as well as Debian packaging or containerization of applications, is essential.
• Requires proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, creating and improving tooling for Provisioning 2.0.
• Familiarity with the Production Readiness Framework and the ability to implement Canary and A/B testing methodologies.
• Setting up monitoring, alerting, and eventing systems for production environments.
