Position Summary:

The Site Supervisor is responsible for the implementation and supervision of Direct Support Professionals and the daily residence operations on the overnight shift. Responsible for trainings, scheduling and evaluating of staff. Routinely observes the status and the welfare of staff and the people we support, review work and documentation, provides instruction, coaching, counseling, and direct support. Maintains a healthy and safe residential environment.

Monitor and assist with overnight fire drills, communicates concerns and recommendations to appropriate departments and/or members. Works with primary Site Supervisor to oversee the maintenance of the residence.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education , Training &

Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent and three (3) years progressive experience in a group home setting serving the MR/DD population.

Preferred Education, Training &

Experience:

Bachelors Degree in an area of Human Services or related field from an accredited program

One (1) year of experience in a Human Services capacity, preferably with the DD population

Or

Associates Degree in an area of Human Services or related field

Two (2) years of experience in a Human Services capacity

Or

An equivalent combination of directly relevant education, training, and/or experience deemed adequate for the position.

Essential

Skills and Abilities:

New York State driver's license that meets Agency driving policy

Willingness and ability to travel between sites

Willingness and ability to obtain medication administration certification

Willingness and ability to obtain SCIP-R certification

Ability to listen and communicate effectively and act as a role model

Salary: $22.88 per hour starting rate
