Overview
The Editorial Associate will have the opportunity to learn about and assist in the operation and upkeep of and its communication between the Lions organization and the public. Candidates will need to be able to work 5 days per week. Due to the unique nature of this position, the candidate must be able to work extended hours during the NFL season and all offseason events which will include working on nights, weekends and holidays.
This position is based in the Meijer Performance Center in Allen Park, MI, but may require travel to Ford Field.

Responsibilities and duties required by the supervisor consistent with the objectives and essential functions of this position
- Recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Website management, Journalism, Public Relations, or Communications
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in journalism, storytelling, reporting, and/or professional writing required. Experience in a fast-paced sports media environment preferred
- Poise and the ability to present themselves with professionalism and maturity
- An energetic and self-motivated attitude
- Comfortable speaking with professional athletes and coaches in both a work setting and within the context of an interview
- Candidates should have experience in the areas of communications, journalism, written communication and basic website management
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop strongly preferred
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required and ability to learn specialty software as needed
- Must successfully pass a background check
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
