Manufacturing Engineer

Epitec is seeking a Manufacturing (New Model Launch) Engineer to join our automotive client's team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, the candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting successful launches of new vehicle and powertrain programs across North American assembly plants.

• This is an ongoing W2 contract
• This is an onsite position in Allen Park, MI (travel required)

• Lead new vehicle and powertrain program launches at North American assembly plants
• Own end-to-end program management for new model launches, including timing, budget, and delivery
• Manage pre-production build events, including planning, execution, and issue resolution
• Oversee ordering, build, testing, and disposition of fleet and pre-production vehicles
• Lead the build issues management process across cross-functional teams
• Serve as gatekeeper for New Model Programs, managing product development changes ahead of prototype builds
• Manage and execute the Pre-Production Drive Fleet Evaluation Plan
• Drive part support issues to resolution for each pre-production build
• Co-chair cross-functional meetings and ensure alignment across engineering, manufacturing, and quality
• Prepare and present weekly New Model Program status and quality assessment reports
• Champion and support senior management presentations
• Manage launch budget approvals and execute program elements within approved budgets

• Program management experience, ideally supporting vehicle or powertrain programs
• Manufacturing experience, preferably in an automotive assembly environment
• Strong ability to manage multiple work streams, timelines, and stakeholders
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
• Highly detail-oriented, organized, and execution-focused
• Comfortable leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced launch environments
• Advanced or working knowledge of Excel (tracking, reporting, status management)
• Experience supporting new model launch or pre-production activities
