In this position… The Prototype Planning Supervisor (LL6) plays a critical leadership role in Ford’s new model prototype organization, responsible for end-to-end prototype planning and delivery for a vehicle platform. This role ensures that prototype builds are executed with strong readiness, visibility, and cross-functional alignment from initial request through build completion and lessons learned.
What You’ll Do- Lead end-to-end prototype planning and delivery for assigned platform
- Drive build readiness reviews and ensure launch discipline
- Coordinate across engineering, MP&L, scheduling, operations, and quality
- Own issue tracking, escalation, and closure
- Maintain platform-level status visibility via dashboards
- Manage schedule changes and execution risks
- Drive continuous improvement and eliminate waste
- Lead lessons learned and improvement actions
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related
- 3+ years experience in prototype, manufacturing, or program management
- Strong planning and cross-functional coordination skills
- Prototype build or launch experience
- Lean / FPS knowledge
- Leadership experience
Occasional travel between prototype facilities may be required.

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $115,500-$218,100.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
