We are seeking an experienced professional to lead Design Verification Planning (DVP) and Product Validation (PV) activities for automotive electrical systems, with a primary focus on high-voltage wiring harnesses. This role involves validation planning, cross-functional coordination, supplier collaboration, testing, quality support, and execution through vehicle launch in accordance with program milestones.
RequiredSkills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)
- 5–10 years of automotive wiring harness or electrical systems experience
- Ownership of Design Verification Plans (DVPs)
- Leadership of Design Verification (DV) and Product Validation (PV)
- Ford GPDS knowledge
- Vehicle launch experience
- Experience with Team Center and/or CATIA
- PPAP knowledge
- Ability to lead cross-functional validation efforts with engineering, suppliers, quality, and manufacturing
- Prior work experience in the automotive industry
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-have skills but are not required)
- Experience with high-voltage wiring harnesses
- Experience with Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS)
- Experience in manufacturing or validation engineering
- Experience with bench, dyno, or vehicle testing
- Cost estimation skills
- Lead Design Verification Plans (DVPs) and Product Validation (PV) activities
- Develop validation strategies, test plans, and prototype requirements
- Coordinate validation with engineering, suppliers, manufacturing, and testing teams
- Track validation progress, engineering changes, and program milestones
- Support vehicle launches, quality improvements, and warranty investigations
- Lead Technical Design Reviews (TDRs) and maintain validation documentation
- Support DFMEA, PPAP, APQP, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities
