In this position...

* Ford Racing chassis design and release engineer focused on electronically controlled, semi-active off-road shocks and other tunable components.

* Design and develop the tunable chassis components including electronically controlled, semi-active off-road shocks, coil springs, and related hardware for future Ford Racing production and motor sport competition vehicles.

* Work directly with core underbody teams to ensure requirements and design rules are met, while pushing the boundaries of vehicle performance.

* Occasional travel may be required to support vehicle development and supplier reviews.

What you'll do...

* The Design and Release (D&R) engineer is the single point of contact for all aspects of the tunable chassis component part design; responsible for delivering components and systems that meet program targets for quality, function, cost, weight, and timing.

* Support the testing, prototype, launch builds and ongoing production of Ford Racing vehicles at assembly plants and test facilities.

* Interface daily with other D&R engineers, vehicle attribute teams, program management, suppliers, and manufacturing to ensure compliance with required specifications and critical decisions are made efficiently.
