Automotive NVH Engineer, Noise, Vibration & Harshness

Own the NVH attribute for Ford Racing on/off-road vehicles, leading program and technical development while representing the customer
Plan and execute subsystem and vehicle-level development across all GPDS phases
Serve as point person for assigned programs, communicating workplans, attribute status, and issue resolution
Establish pre-program targets for hardware/system selection using analytical tools to meet attribute targets and minimize trade-offs before prototypes are available
Collaborate cross-functionally with Body, Powertrain, Chassis, Vehicle Dynamics, VEME, CAE/Simulation, and Powertrain Controls development partners
Deliver NVH attributes including sound quality, driveline, road, wind, exterior noise, and secondary ride, plus related quality metrics
Use CAE, Simulator, and other analytical tools to assess attribute status, identify root causes, determine solutions, and define tuning libraries
Create and manage test plans supporting tuning freezes and attribute assessments at major milestones
Manage and perform off-site testing, scheduling objective testing with internal VEV and external vendors/suppliers
Complete and document DVP and CDR requirements, including exterior legal noise

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field
• 2–5+ years in Vehicle/Systems NVH development or equivalent Vehicle Engineering attribute experience
• 2–5+ years using GPDS deliverables, CAE, and simulation tools/methods in NVH development
• 2–5+ years with data acquisition and analysis tools including LMS, B&K, DET, PT Diag, and CANalyzer
• Strong performance record, communication skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Strong work ethic, schedule flexibility, and passion for performance vehicles/racing
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Visa sponsorship is not available
• Master's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
• 5+ years of relevant experience preferred
• Experience in powertrain, body structures, chassis systems, or vehicle architecture development preferred

Demonstrates expertise in NVH development for on/off-road vehicles, utilizing analytical tools and simulation methods to achieve performance targets. Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams to manage vehicle attribute assessments and testing processes.
