Position: Electrical Engineering Internship - Fall 2026

Are you interested in vehicle electrical systems, wiring architecture, and hands‑on troubleshooting? Roush is seeking an Electrical Engineering student to support our Vehicle Engineering team for the fall of 2026 (Sept.

- Dec.). This internship provides exposure to vehicle electrical system design, CAN communication, diagnostics, harness development, and validation testing.

This position is a paid internship located in Allen Park, MI with occasional work in Livonia, MI.

To be considered as an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will need:
  • Minimum junior standing at a college or university
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineeringor similar discipline
  • Must be able to work a 40‑hour work week M-F onsite
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits and electronics fundamentals
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Strong desire to learn vehicle electrical systems design, development, and testing as it relates to the automotive industry
  • Willingness and desire to get hands‑on experience
A successful Electrical Engineering Intern may also have:
  • Experience with CAN tools or vehicle diagnostics
  • Exposure to schematic or harness software
  • Prior internship experience in an automotive‑related environment
  • Participation in Formula SAE / Baja / EV / Robotics project teams
  • Interest in automotive electrical systems and vehicle technology
