SAP Functional Lead

Responsibilities

• Understand the current business process across all regions / plants.
• Independently guide and mentor junior team members, fostering their development and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Understand the functionality of current Legacy Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and associated upstream and downstream systems.
• Work with various stakeholders to study the transformation of current process / legacy systems to industry best standards / technology / systems focusing on the SAP MM modules.
• Perform requirements gathering, business analysis, and fit‑gap / fit‑to‑standard analysis to understand the as‑is/to‑be states and identify key functionality/process gaps.
• Recommend possible technology / process solutions to address gaps.
• Develop a roadmap / transformation map without impacting operations.
• Deploy SAP S/4 MM across various sites globally and integrate with both legacy and other best‑in‑breed applications.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

• Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.
• At least 10+ years of industry process knowledge, solution expertise, and consultation skills in the SAP MM module.
• Excellent understanding of the overall SAP MM solution and its integration with other components of the S/4 HANA suite, such as SAP Production Planning and SAP PPDS.
• Good knowledge of automotive assembly and manufacturing domains with strong communication skills.
• Experience in SAP MM module configuration.
• Experience working in an SAP S4 HANA environment.
• Experience collaborating with global teams.
• Automotive experience is preferred.
• Preference for support in an onshore/offshore model.
• Respect and empathy for team members, business partners, and product customers.
• Excellent problem‑solving and prevention skills.
• Knowledge and practical experience with agile delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver product roadmap milestones.
• Complete knowledge of every phase of SAP implementation, including business blueprint creation, implementation, data migration, cutover, and go‑live.
• Ability to discover what is valuable, usable, and feasible, acting at the intersection of business, technology, and user experience.
• Strong pulse on the business/IT landscape to prioritize features rigorously for optimal market fit.
• Experience with agile methodology in performing all tasks.
