The Automotive Breadboard Test Technician is an entry‑level position located in Dearborn, MI, which offers the opportunity to learn and grow with an industry leader.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the installation and assembly of electrical instrumentation, modules, sensors, power supplies, load boxes, inverters, etc.
  • Fabricate breadboards and build them up to test‑ready condition.
  • Troubleshoot breadboard issues and provide customer support.
  • Use oscilloscopes, meters, and logic analyzers to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues.
  • Check out electrical systems and verify per specification and drawings.
  • Design test fixtures, harnesses, and test boxes to meet client specifications.
  • Develop new test fixtures/loads to simulate vehicle components.
  • Specify and select electrical components to support electrical designs.
  • Ensure safety of yourself, all personnel, and the lab.
Qualifications
  • High‑school diploma required.
  • U.S. citizen.
  • Knowledgeable and proficient with hands‑on automotive work.
  • Strong understanding of automotive parts, subsystems, and their interactions.
  • Electrical background with proficiency in automotive electrical systems, schematics, and excellent soldering skills.
  • Knowledge of the vehicle CAN bus and other communication tools.
  • Strong instrumentation background; ability to build custom cables and connectors.
  • Strong background in computers; proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD, VIZO, MATLAB, and Solid Works is a plus.
  • Good fabrication and machining abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong safety mindset and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Self‑starter with a proactive, energetic problem‑solving approach.
  • Team player who works well with others.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Housekeeping and lab cleanliness maintained.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and versatile.
  • Desired:
    Associate’s degree or equivalent in an electrical discipline.
  • Desired:
    Two (2) or more years of relevant electrical work experience.
