Emissions Test Technician - Midnights

Entry-level Vehicle Emissions Technician (Midnight shift) at Allen Park Test Labs.

• Perform full vehicle testing on chassis rolls and evaporative emission testing.
• Install vehicle on chassis roll.
• Install and checkout instrumentation.
• Calibrate test systems instrumentation.
• Operate site computer systems.
• Operate emission test site.
• Drive manual and automatic transmissions to follow a video road speed trace of various emission test cycles.
• Validate and analyze data.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Preferred:
  Associate’s degree in Automotive Technology or 2 years college coursework in automotive engineering or related disciplines and/or 2 years relevant experience.
