We are working with a private equity-backed technology firm that is looking to bring on an Accounting Manager. The company is experiencing strong expansion through both organic growth and acquisitions. This is a hands‑on leadership role reporting to the Assistant Controller, with responsibility for core accounting operations and a small team.

- Manage and execute the monthly close process, including review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Ensure financial results are accurate, complete, and delivered on time
- Assist with internal management reporting, variance analysis, and ad hoc financial analysis
- Support implementation and ongoing application of new accounting standards
- Oversee day‑to‑day accounting activities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, payroll, project cost accounting, and revenue recognition
- Ensure proper accounting for capital projects, fixed assets, and construction‑in‑progress activity
- Partner closely with operations and project teams to ensure accurate financial data and cost tracking
- Support external audits, lender reporting, and Private Equity reporting requirements
- Assist with preparation of audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure compliance and mitigate financial risk
- Ensure accounting policies and procedures are followed consistently and documented appropriately
- Directly manage and develop a team of accounting professionals
- Review work product, provide coaching and feedback, and support professional development
- Promote accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the team
- Serve as a go‑to resource for technical accounting and operational questions
- Evaluate existing accounting processes and identify opportunities for increased efficiency and scalability
- Assist with documentation, standardization, and implementation of improved procedures
- Support systems enhancements and ERP utilization as the business continues to grow
- CPA required
- 5–8+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting and industry experience
- Experience managing or mentoring accounting staff
- Strong understanding of GAAP, month‑end close, and financial statements
- Experience supporting audits and working with external auditors
- Strong ASC 606 Revenue Recognition experience a big plus
