Overview
Fiber Light, LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant to support corporate accounting for a multi-state fiber networking company backed by a global private equity firm. This high‑impact role offers cross‑functional collaboration and the opportunity to strengthen accounting operations in a dynamic, growth‑oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support month‑end close and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
- Revenue recognition accounting (subscription, construction, and deferred revenue)
- Construction/project accounting
- Lease accounting and record keeping
- Accounting for debt
- Accounting for operating expenses, including compensation plans (e.g. commissions)
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Support audits and maintain internal control documentation
- Collaborate with FP&A, IT, and operations to improve processes
- Contribute to special projects driven by evolving business needs
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Familiarity with modern accounting systems and proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- CPA license (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and 842
- Public accounting or audit experience
- Experience with Net Suite and/or Salesforce
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, work independently, and deliver results in a dynamic environment
