Architectural Project Manager– Commercial & Retail

You’ll lead project teams, mentor staff, coordinate with clients and consultants, and play an important role in driving successful outcomes for both our clients and our company. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously through planning, design, permitting, and construction phases.
• Establish project scope, schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.
• Conduct project kickoff meetings and guide project teams toward successful execution.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, profitability, and resource allocation.
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and challenges.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain clear, proactive communication and foster long-term client trust.
• Lead project meetings, presentations, and stakeholder discussions.
• Collaborate with clients to ensure project goals and design objectives are achieved.

• Oversee project documentation, QA/QC reviews, and consultant coordination.
• Ensure projects comply with applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, and permitting regulations.
• Review construction documents and provide guidance to project teams throughout the design process.
• Support entitlement, permitting, and construction administration activities.

• Mentor, coach, and develop project team members.
• Delegate work effectively while maintaining accountability for project outcomes.
• Provide constructive feedback, performance coaching, and career development support.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Prepare and review proposals, scopes of work, fee estimates, and change orders.
• Monitor project profitability, labor utilization, billing, and forecasting.
• Partner with accounting and leadership teams on project financial management.
• Track workload and staffing needs to support operational efficiency.

• Participate in business development and client relationship-building activities.
• Identify opportunities for additional services and repeat business.
• Assist with proposal development and project pursuits.
• Serve as a positive ambassador for PM Design Inc within the industry and community.

• Education & Professional Development: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture. Active pursuit of ARE exams /
  Registered Architect (RA) licensure is strongly encouraged and fully supported.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced, hands‑on expertise in
  Autodesk Revit combined with strong proficiency in
  AutoCAD
  .
• Experience: 5+ years of architectural project management experience, specifically handling commercial, retail, or multi‑site projects.

  Thorough understanding of national and local building codes, construction methodology, risk management, proposal creation, and financial tracking.

• Revit & AutoCAD Mastery: Lead advanced BIM and drafting workflows using
  Autodesk Revit as your primary tool, while managing
  AutoCAD standards, sheet setups, layering, and title blocks.
• Support Toward Architectural Licensure: Your career trajectory matters to us! We actively encourage and champion candidates working toward their

• End-to-End Project Ownership: Oversee full project life cycles—from initial client kickoff, proposals, and entitlements through detailed CD production, QA/QC, and construction administration.
