Purpose:

To provide a well-organized smoothly functioning environment in which students can take full advantage of the campus support program(s) and available resource materials.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

* High School Diploma; two (2) years of college and business training desirable.

Special Knowledge/

Skills:

* Knowledge of office procedures, proficiency in typing, and use of the computer.

* Effective organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work well with adolescents.

* Such other qualifications as the principal may find appropriate and acceptable.

None.

Major

Responsibilities and Duties:

* Maintain student records and effective computerized filing system for student records and reports.

* Communicate student progress and provide updated reports to teachers, counselors, and/or house office staff.

* Communicate with teacher/house office regarding concerns, needs or problems of individual students.

* Maintain confidentiality.

* Assist the various departments with miscellaneous assignments as needed.

* Assumes responsibility for acquiring skills necessary for fulfilling assigned duties.

* Participate in staff development training to improve job performance.

* Participate in faculty meetings and special events as assigned.

* Performs such other duties as the Superintendent/supervisor may require.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Customer Care

Skills:

* Provide professional communication with students, parents, community members, staff and other professionals at all times.

* Use proper phone etiquette at all times, speaking slowly and clearly. Take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.

* Ensure superior customer care skills are used via eye contact, facial expressions, voice inflections, body language, and an attitude of "going the extra mile" for others.

Standard office equipment including computer and peripherals

Long periods on your feet when monitoring students

Prolonged use of computer

Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)

Frequent district-wide travel

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written; work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress

Salary:
Pay Grade IS02, $17.02 - $20.10 hourly rate, commensurate with experience according to District salary schedule.
