Technical Consultant | Fiber Networks | DWDM

Our Client is seeking an experienced Technical Consultant to serve as the technical bridge between Sales, Engineering, Construction, Provisioning, and Service Delivery following contract execution.

In this role, you will ensure customer solutions are technically sound, fully validated, and ready for successful implementation before engineering and delivery activities begin. You will review network designs, fiber routes, splice plans, Bills of Material (BOMs), and customer requirements to identify and resolve technical issues before they impact project timelines or customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform technical validation of Closed Won customer opportunities before engineering release
• Review network architecture, circuit designs, and engineering documentation
• Validate fiber routing, splice plans, and diversity requirements
• Review Bills of Material (BOMs) for accuracy and completeness
• Identify and proactively resolve implementation risks
• Partner with Sales Engineering, Strategic Engineering, Construction, Provisioning, and Service Delivery teams
• Ensure solutions align with clients engineering standards and product offerings
• Support customer implementations from project kickoff through service activation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of telecommunications engineering, network design, solutions architecture, or service delivery experience
• Strong knowledge of:
• Metro and long-haul fiber networks
• DWDM and optical transport technologies
• Ethernet services
• IP networking
• Fiber construction and splicing practices
• Carrier access and last-mile connectivity
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings, fiber route documentation, splice diagrams, and BOMs
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Zayo, Lumen, Crown Castle Fiber, Segra, Uniti Fiber, Everstream, AT&T, Verizon, Cogent, Windstream Enterprise, Frontier, NTT, GTT, and similar network operators.
