Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Center Technician to oversee daily operations within our data center environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of critical infrastructure while leading a team of technicians. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership skills and a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of data center technicians.
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of servers, networking equipment, and cabling systems.
- Ensure optimal performance, uptime, and reliability of data center infrastructure.
- Coordinate and execute hardware deployments, upgrades, and decommissions.
- Monitor systems, respond to incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, processes, and procedures.
- Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and operations teams to support business needs.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate onsite support when necessary.
- Proven experience in a data center environment, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking, and data center operations.
- Experience with rack and stack, cabling, and power distribution systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues effectively.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Bilingual (required).
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
- Ability to lift and move equipment and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or relevant data center certifications.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
- Experience working in high-availability or mission-critical environments.
