Electronics Technician, Hardware Engineer
We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking an Electronics Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is in Allen, TX 75002. Details of the position are as follows:
Job Description:
- Pay:
Up to $26.00/hr based on experience. - 2-month assignment with the possibility for extension or conversion based on performance and budget.
- Shift Schedule (ONSITE):
- Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Overtime as needed.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, test, and repair electronic products down to the sub-assembly and component level.
- Troubleshoot and test Digital Video Recorder (DVR) systems and related peripherals using industry-standard diagnostic equipment and test stations.
- Analyze electronic circuits, isolate faults, and determine root causes of failures.
- Work with Electronic Printed Circuit Assemblies (PCBAs), including microcontrollers, memory devices, FPGAs, and low-power signal circuits.
- Read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, inspection reports, and technical documentation.
- Utilize DVMs, oscilloscopes, and other electronic test equipment during diagnostics and repair activities.
- Follow ESD procedures and maintain high-quality standards with repeatable and reliable results.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Customer Service teams to communicate troubleshooting findings and product issues.
- Support production requirements while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
- Work independently with limited supervision after training.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is Required!!
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or a related Technical field is Preferred!!
- Minimum 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic printed circuit assemblies (PCBAs) is Required!!
- Experience using DVMs, Oscilloscopes, and other electronic diagnostic equipment is Required!!
- Strong understanding of Analog and Digital Electronics is Preferred!!
- Basic networking knowledge including MAC addresses, IP addresses, and computer systems is Preferred!!
- Experience troubleshooting microcontrollers, memory devices, programmable logic devices (FPGAs), and related circuitry is Strongly Preferred!!
- Previous experience as an Electronics Repair Technician, Return/Repair Technician, Electronic Test Technician, or similar role is Preferred!!
