Risk Manager/Analyst
The Compliance Manager is responsible for the management and execution of compliance activities supporting the company's programs throughout the United States and Canada. This role provides compliance oversight throughout the full program lifecycle, including program development and structuring, regulatory assessment, licensing, implementation, launch readiness, ongoing administration, claims and complaints, data reporting, audits, and remediation.
The Compliance Manager serves as a central compliance resource across licensing, claims and consumer complaints, Terms and Conditions, product and marketing compliance, regulatory research, program structure, underwriter requirements, pricing coordination, data compliance, contractual obligations, and compliance operations.
Key Responsibilities Licensing Management- Manage and maintain the company's licensing portfolio across the United States and Canada, including applicable entity and individual licenses.
- Oversee producer, adjuster, service contract, administrator, obligor, seller, and other regulatory licensing requirements based on jurisdiction and program structure.
- Evaluate licensing requirements for new products, programs, entities, distribution models, partners etc and coordination with external & internal stakeholders.
- Draft, review, and maintain consumer-facing Terms and Conditions for service contracts, extended warranties, device protection programs, insurance-related programs, and other applicable products.
- Provide compliance oversight for claims administration across U.S. and Canadian programs.
- Review escalated, complex, disputed, or potentially non-compliant claims to determine alignment with applicable Terms and Conditions, program requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Review and coordinate responses to consumer complaints received through regulatory agencies, Attorneys General, Better Business Bureaus, partners, underwriters, and other escalation channels.
- Serve as a primary compliance contact for our key underwriters, and other risk partners supporting U.S. and Canadian programs.
- Escalate material regulatory, contractual, operational, data, or underwriter risks to Legal and senior leadership.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- Experience in insurance, service contracts, warranties, regulatory compliance, legal operations, or another regulated industry.
- Experience managing compliance requirements across multiple U.S. jurisdictions;
Canadian regulatory experience is preferred. - Working knowledge of insurance, service contract, producer, adjuster, administrator, obligor, seller, or related licensing frameworks.
- Experience drafting or reviewing Terms and Conditions, regulatory correspondence, compliance procedures, or contractual documentation.
- Experience handling consumer complaints, regulatory inquiries, or escalated claims.
- Experience working directly with insurance carriers, underwriters, regulators, outside counsel, or similar external stakeholders.
- Strong written communication, analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple programs, jurisdictions, deadlines, and cross-functional stakeholders simultaneously.
