** Job Summary
** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Volunteer Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and overseeing the hospice volunteer program to ensure adequate volunteer support for patients, families, and hospice operations. This role includes recruiting, training, supervising, and retaining volunteers while maintaining compliance with hospice regulations and organizational policies. The Volunteer Coordinator works closely with the Interdisciplinary Group to identify volunteer needs, support patient care, and enhance the overall hospice experience.

** Responsibilities
* ** Recruit and select volunteers to meet the needs of the hospice program.
* Develop and provide volunteer training and orientation programs in compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
* Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for volunteer services to support patients, families, and administrative functions.
* Provide ongoing supervision, guidance, and evaluation of volunteers to ensure effective and compassionate service.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date volunteer files and service statistics as required by hospice policy.
* Evaluate the volunteer program regularly to identify areas for improvement, ensuring alignment with hospice goals and compliance standards.
* Develop strategies for volunteer support, recognition, and education to promote engagement and retention.
* Participate in IDG meetings and contribute to the development of individualized plans of care as appropriate.
* Provide information to individuals and community groups to promote awareness of hospice volunteer opportunities and services.
* Participate in budget preparation related to volunteer program development.
* Support the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program by contributing to program evaluation and reporting.
* Provide direct volunteer services as needed to support patient care and program operations.
