Licensed Vocational Nurse/LVN – Heart & Vascular Specialists Clinic – Full-Time, Days
Work location:
1105 North Central Expressway, Suite 120, Allen, TX 75013
Work hours:
Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Travel: 50% to surrounding clinics as needed (mileage reimbursement provided)

- LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse Upon Hire (required)
- Accredited School of Practical Nursing Program (required)
- LVN experience (strongly preferred)
- 1 year of Cardiology clinic experience (strongly preferred)
- Ability to perform EKGs and Blood Pressure without supervision (strongly preferred)
- IV insertion experience (preferred)
- ACLS or BCLS (required upon hire)
- Knowledge of basic nursing processes and understanding of healthcare technology, equipment, and supplies
- Knowledge of state law on nursing care, nurse practice guidelines, and clinic policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients
- Demonstrate sound judgment and composure
- Ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations
- Maintain a positive, caring attitude towards staff and patients
- Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
- Efficient time management skills
- Deliver care to patients utilizing the LVN process
- Triage patient calls and communicate with the provider
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care provided to selected patient populations and their families
- Perform specific nursing care as it relates to the specialty of cardiology
- Collect patient data such as vital signs, observe patient condition, and report information accordingly
- Prepare patient records and files using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor and document treatment progress and patient response
- Perform other duties as assigned
