Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor, NICU

Work hours:
Full Time, 40 Hours;
Two 8 hour shifts per week and two 12 hour shifts per week.
- Level II NICU/Level II Maternal Designation
- 8 LDRPs, 5 Antepartum Rooms, 2 Operating Rooms
- 40 – 45 deliveries per month
- Small team focused on BIG teamwork!
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required
- BSN preferred
- Two years of experience as a clinical nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role required
- Three years of NICU experience highly preferred
- RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent care and maintained quarterly required
- Collaborate with leadership, UBC and appropriate team members to establish, implement and monitor department policies/procedures
- Engage staff to promote evidence‑based practices within the unit
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and regulatory requirements for compliance
- Provide bedside leadership and clinical expertise to improve quality of patient care
- Provide safe direct patient care in coordination with other staff when unit activity requires it
- Promote guidance in emergency or complex situations
- Evaluate the outcome of patient care, consult with others on the patient care team and adjust nursing care practices as needed to improve outcomes
