Certified Nurse Midwife | north Dallas - Allen, TX | scope care, collaborative care model

Seeking full-time CNMs excited to join a dynamic and growing practice of OB/GYNS and CNMs just north of Dallas, TX. Work in a collaborative care model with physicians, midwives, dietary needs, wellness coaches, holistic care, that allows providers to work at top of their skills. Clinic model is at least 1 FTE OBGYN at a director level, 3.5 laborists, and 4 CNMs.

• Take first call
• Independently manage and provide full-scope midwifery care in our outpatient clinic including comprehensive obstetric and gynecological services
• Collaborate with clinical colleagues (including OB/GYNs; RNs; LCSWs, health coaches, lactation counselors, childbirth educators and other specialists)
• Provide day-to-day expertise and leadership on Labor & Delivery, including in-house clinical coverage
• Triage and care for emergent obstetric patients, working collaboratively with RNs and OB/GYNs
• Provide first assist surgical support
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Attend skills training and drills for high acuity/low frequency events

• Experience in managing intrapartum, postpartum, and OB triage in a hospital setting (2 yrs experience preferred)
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative OB/CNM practice
• Strong communication skills and intrapersonal skills
• Value patient preferences/choice, shared decision making, and a holistic care approach
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date
• Active certification with AMCB
• Current RN and APRN license in TX
• Additional certifications in Obstetric Ultrasound, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, and/or Lactation consultation are preferred
