Medical City Dallas – Registered Nurse Supervisor (Clinical Nurse Coordinator)
Location:
Emergency Room, Night Shift (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.). The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring and delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care and coordinating all functions in the unit during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and models the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an exceptional patient experience and clinical outcomes.
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the facility’s efforts to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; recommend and implement courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) – Must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- STABLE – Must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – Must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse (RN) credential.
- Associate’s degree in Nursing.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or PALS Instructor – Must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ACLS Instructor – Must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience.
- Comprehensive medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, behavioral health, and telemedicine services.
